As I will have done 40 years at work in September, they should be giving me £1000 to spend, but because of tax, it needs to come as points to be converted into vouchers and spent that way.

Sort of playing with the idea of a Deck/Amp/Speaker combo and fishing out the vinyl from the loft.

Seen that Rega do the System One for that, but what else would people recommend ? I'm not a hifi buff, and my ears are not perfect after 40 years in heavy industry but its something I think might be nice in my room next to the PET 8032-SK and various other 70's & 80's computers.

Now if I could get an IMSAI 8080 for £1K...

Sevenoaks clearance section ( they do free delivery)

NAD C 316BEE V2 Integrated Amplifier £228.00
Project Debut Carbon EVO (High Gloss Black) Turntable £435.00
Monitor Audio Bronze 50 (Black) Speakers (Pair) £249.00

£ 912.00

Alas , not enough for some speaker stands , but enough for speaker cable and something to clean the old vinyl

I have this ( nearly ) as my other ( dining room/get away from others ) system. went a little more on the Project Debut Pro but listen to a friends Evo carbon and indistinguishable if I am totally honest

cheers smile

Only problem is, its got to be something mainstream I can get vouchers for, so most main highstreet stuff and Amazon ( frown ) but not specialist places.

It does look good as an option. All in one and obviously designed to work together

I have a sonos system for general duties but fancy a turntable.
