I've had my current setup for many years and it's great stuff and suits me well, but it just doesn't get played any more. Levinson 39 used as dac and preamp playing through a NAD S200 power amp into Zingali Overture speakers with JPS cabling. Separately we have a big telly with a soundbar and subwoofer.

I want to unload all my CDs via an auction (which are ripped to harddrive anyway) and embrace streaming as a primary source. I can justify up to say 6-7k because I know that just like the above system, once I'm happy, I'm done, as opposed to constantly seeking an upgrade path.

I guess my question is whether my original thought that the Kef LS60 is the best path to the clean new future (maybe plus the Kef 62 sub) or whether there's any merit in a multi - box approach with streamer amp and passive speakers. I've been looking at the NAD M10 V2 and maybe the Kef R3 metas plus 62 sub. The latter seems most future - proofed and has the most capability to do clever things like room tailoring (at least Darko seems to be indicating that - and our room is unusually long with alcoves and stuff, so might be useful)

We're not hung up on full cinema surround, but with either option we'd hook up to the TV, for sure.

Just welcome other views, particularly from anyone who has made the transition.

I've got my early '70s KEF Concertos being driven by a DOUK ST-01 Pro, streaming Amazon HD from a WIIM Pro (Optical).

It was trial to explore streaming using a cheap Class D.

I'm not going back... I've been amazed with the aural pleasure.

I ran an M10 for a while - only used it for a few months before buying the LS60's. It sits new in its box - I should sell it.

You need to hear the KEF's to be honest, they're a complete system and sound excellent. You shouldn't need a sub with them as they have 8 subs built in.

It's certainly a very clean looking solution as everything is within the speakers.

I got slowly into streaming with a Bluesound Node and then the NAD M10 and finally the KEF's which I manage mostly via Roon. The KEF's feel like the ultimate solution, no need to fiddle further! smile

Why not simply connect a network streamer to the current DAC in the first instance?

Why don't you play your current system if it's great stuff and suits you well?
