Is there a name for the bolts that hold speakers to speaker stands via the hole and slot on the speaker housing rather than screw in?

My speaker stands have bolts with a round head that goes in to the hole in the speaker, flattened sides to the bolt to stop it turning when pushed up in to the slot, and a nut with big plastic grips on it to tighten it.
Annoyingly the bolt heads are too big for the hole on my new rear speakers, and googling speaker bolts and various related terms isn't finding anything.
I could just buy some round headed allen bolts, but then I'd have a normal nut instead of the hand tightenable one. and I don't really want tog et the dremmel out and enlarge the hole.

Anyone know what they're called?

Sounds like you're describing T-slot bolts. https://www.axminstertools.com/ujk-technology-t-sl...

You might also find them describes as T-track bolts. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324482813911

Yep also used on milling machines at engineering places to keep materials bolted down to the machine bed.

Kind of but they're for a track with flat sides to the head to keep it from rotating. Finally remembered to take a photo!

I mean to go in a slot like this

And the current ones have a round head but flat sides on the threaded section to stop it rotating in the slot

^^^ You could easily file or grind a standard bolt to do it.

That's just a 'keyhole' to hang it on a screw.
So the perfect part to go with it may not be out there.

I'd probably find something the right thread and attack it with a file.

The thread on the existing bolts fit, it's just the head that's too big for the slow, so I guess I either need to grind the head of the bolt or make the hole in the speaker a bit bigger. I was hoping this is was a standard part but it seems not

Have you tried a cap head bolt, instead of a normal bolt?

You might just have to thin the head down a bit although there are a variety of thicknesses.

It's difficult to gauge the thread size from your pictures, but it looks like M6.
