Project Elemental vibration
Discussion
I've had my Elemental set up for about 18 months. I use it fairly regularly, most weeks but not every day and it's always been in the same spot. Earlier this month it was vibrating like mad. I bought a granite chopping board and it has helped a little but it still skips frequently - basically unusable.
Suggestions? My apartment backs on to an elevator shaft and they have changed the cables on the elevators recently which I guess could be causing a different vibration?
I also wonder if it is a motor problem? If I take the belt off there is enough play in the motor spindle for it to audibly rattle which is sending vibration through the body, but I assume the tension of the belt against the deck would be enough to mitigate that?
It's really annoying as I haven't changed anything.
The granite chopping board is on the foam feet it came on, and the elemental is sitting on its foam feet on that.
