Anyone recommend places to look for the above or offer any inspiration?

Something like this is nice and about the right size.

I wall mounted my turntable. It made a massive difference to me as I'm on floorboards. I think I will be wall mounting my TT from now on.

P.S. I keep seeing the 'Krud' stuff on Facebook. If I wanted something like that I'd 100% make it myself. It's just a few repurposed scaffolding planks. When I was out of work for a bit I chopped up a pine desk and bedside table and made it into a cabinet. A project like the Krud furniture would be easier than that.

ETA: Actually my next project will probably be an LP storage / Hi-Fi separates unit, and I have already decided that it must have a back and a door on it to keek dust and UV rays off of my records...

No danger I could make anything decent enough to have on view! Krud stuff seems to have reasonable reviews there’s many similar on Etsy but it’s certainly not cheap for what it is.

When you look at just the price of sideboards from places such as Next, and then notice that they're vinyl wrap or wood veneer over some kind of chipboard, and they want £275-£450, then the Crud stuff looks like reasonable value IMO.

As alternatives, I think this would look good in the right room -

or maybe a couple of these side-by-side? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354527987372?hash=item5...

Your probably right do like the look of it will do a bit more research but looks the best option.

I quite like mid-century style so I've just bought a 60s Ladderax modular LP cabinet. I'll either go full hipster and screw some legs onto it or more likely find some metal ladders or fabricate a steel frame to make it free-standing.

It was not exactly high quality stuff to begin with but Teak veneer should come up reasonably nice and I'll take it over melamine coated chipboard anyday.

Would definitely consider the Krud stuff if I was after a modern look but whatever I got I'd still prefer doors and a back on it.
