Wireless headphone recommendations
Discussion
Currently have a pair of wired AKG Y50 and an Audiolab M-DAC Nano. The combo sounds great.
I listen to Spotify Premium through my iPhone SE.
I’m getting fed up with the cable catching on even flat surfaces. I’m wearing the headphones more as we now have a 8 week old, and I just cannot cope with the 4am screaming. Also need them for bed listening as tgecTV is now banned. Also walking as I’m trying to get fit following an operation.
What do I need to spend to get close to the above combo. I think Spotify is likely the limiting factor. Will the. Sennheiser HD 450BT Wireless be a good option. I can’t stomach stretching to the Momentum 4 Wireless as the sleep terrorist will be grabbing them off my head soon!

Has anyone seen any good deals on wireless noise cancelling headphones? I've started traveling more with work again, was probably hoping to spend ~£175, but want to stick to Bose or Sony, as from the reviews, no one else seems to get close for noise cancelling.
Is patience likely to work, or should I just stomach the ~£250 they normally cosy.

I have some Momentum 2 [I think] which are on ear. As I wear glasses these never worked well and caused discomfort where the glasses, my ear and the headphones all intersect. So I decided to try some in ear buds. I bought some Bose Quiet Comfort [I think] impulse buy at Airport duty free and they seem brilliant. Cut out lots of noise. Battery lasts hours and hours. Sound reasonably good. I'm no audiophile expert but they seem good to Me. Mine are like these but white.

I have the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones which seem to be universally praised by all the journos. Yes, they do sound good compared to other headphones I've tried, but the swiping volume control drives me absolutely mad. To go from maximum volume to muted, you have to stroke the right ear down about 20 times. Why oh WHY!!!! A simple pair of buttons or better still, a wheel would have been infinitely better. You can change tracks by swiping forward or backwards, or pause the sound by resting two finders on the earcup. That works well. I believe the new M5 model has the same controls, very slightly better sound, but no longer fold up.

I've the XM3 version and they are the most used birthday present I've ever had, rarely need charged up and when you do they are quick to charge (can't use them when being charged unfortunately, but 15 mins gives you hours). Great on a flight (they come with a wire and fitting for longer flights with entertainment) even if just to drown out engine noise.rodericb said:

AirPod Pro imo much more comfortable than thenXM4 and 5’s and to my ears also sound better. Spacial sound for films watched with iPad or Apple TV is superb. Spacial is also excellent with music as long as it’s mixed properly.
I only use my Sonys now for the Steam Deck and on the plane.
