Yesterday was not a good day, Mrs WD managed to put two 2 foot long scratches through the clearcoat on the bonnet of our year old Skoda Karoq, then, last evening we were sat listening to some music on the Denon when there was a blue flash and loud bang from the rear of the unit and it's now dead. I guess something has blown in the power supply, curiously the fuse in the plug hasn't blown.

Had a quick look last night at replacements and there doesn't seem to be much around that use the same format in a compact unit that fits nicely into the space available in the bookcase, we mainly use the Internet Radio, CD and Music Server features and have a pair of Monitor Audio speakers hooked up to it. There seem to be a few around but are more like mini-systems with speakers and the direct CEOL replacement (Denon CEOL N11) can be had for £449 from Richer Sounds, I think I paid about £250 for the N8 but that was a long time ago now.

I'm open to suggestions on what to replace it with that would be less than £449 N11?

One suggestion would be the slightly cheaper Denon DM-41.
No Internet Radio or music streaming (does have DAB), but with streaming services/radio on your phone, you can Bluetooth them to the unit.
I can see it online for £249.

You might be best opening the wallet and getting the N11, inflation, it's an arse. Maybe see if you can pick up a N10 (I have one in my bedroom) for not much. Moving away from Denon/Marantz will mean moving away from HEOS, which I assume you are using now. N11 Has DAB too.
