Sky Q any good?
Discussion
Really not enjoying the streaming experience and fed up with missing stuff and not being able to fast forward the ads.
Talking to a Sky rep earlier we can get a 1tb box with the channels we need for £28 month inc Netflix.
So basically £18 extra a month.
We had VM TiVo before we moved and that did all I wanted but can’t have VM in our new place.

For us Sky Q is brilliant!
Record everything and watch later or delayed by 20 minutes. For an advert break pick up the remote and say "Skip 4 minutes" and 9 times out of 10 the ident for the program reappears and we continue watching.
For any content that you can download the ability for Sky Q to fast forward and reverse is fantastic and much better than streaming where any fast forward is very hit and miss.
Sky Q also has all the major streaming apps built in so everything can be watched using just the one remote control which is a bonus.
Unfortunately more and more content is moving to streaming which can be watched on Sky Q but the control is inferior.

For ease of use and features I think Sky Q is currently the best on offer. We have it with 3 mini boxes and it just works, anything recorded is available across all the boxes and having Disney, Netflix, Amazon TV all in one place keeps things simple although I do use Netflix on our main TV as it has Dolby Vision/Audio.
