Roku stick power problems
Discussion
Wondering if anyone else has had power problems with their Roku stick?
I fired my TV up for the first time in ages last night to watch a bit of Ozark and got the dreaded "not enough power going to your Roku message".
Took it out, put it back, unplugged the charging cable, put it back, turned it off at the wall turned it back on, changed the socket, etc but to no avail.
I had this with the last one and changed it for this reason - presumed it was faulty. On the new one, I've tried using the new and old charging plugs and using the old and new charging cables. In short, I can't think of any more diagnostics to try.
The only logical explanation is that there's something wrong with the actual power supply - which would be odd seeing as the house was completely rewired three years ago. And I can run my TV, soundbar and sub off any of the sockets no problem.
I'm a bit stumped. I like the Roku interface and CBA learning another.
Maybe I should just give up and stick a Google Chromecast in the back and get to Roku from there?
Thoughts?

I went out today and bought a Firestick.
I was getting ready to swap it over when I noticed that I hadn't actually tested my newer Roku with the the cables that came with it - I'd obviously just forgotten and re-used the ones.
So I swapped them for the new ones - same problem.
Then I had an idea; take the extender cable off and plug the Roku straight into the charger and....bingo the low power issue seems to have gone.
If that's the case, happy days. I can take the Firestick back and use the spare Roku in TV No 4.

Same issue here. I have mine plugged into a projector and it was fine for a while but then wouldn't work when connected to projectors USB. Using an old phone charger works fine.
I recently brought it on a trip and the hotel room TV was able to power it without an issue so could be the USB on my projector is not working, rather than the Roku.

Thanks. Mine won't run off the TV USB (or at least very rarely) so I gave that up early doors.I recently brought it on a trip and the hotel room TV was able to power it without an issue so could be the USB on my projector is not working, rather than the Roku.
I'll try a spare phone charger.

Not the same problem but my new 4k streaming stick sometimes freezes so I have to unplug the power. Really annoying, why does this happen?
Don't know but there's a restart you can do from your remote.https://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/common-...
In other news, mine has worked 100% with the short mains extension rather than the Roku-supplied extender.

I'll try a different mains lead though. Perhaps there's some wierd voltage issue.
