LS50 Meta owner here.
not the same beasts but my god they are good as long as your not bass obsessed.
Thanks... not the same beasts but my god they are good as long as your not bass obsessed.
I bought a pair of LSX some while ago and was hugely impressed with the imagery. However they weren't quite 'big' enough dynamically, so I have reverted to my old (but as new) Ruark Prologue II's. I love the Ruark's, but mono blocks and other kit have made me want to go more towards a simpler looking solution.
I am told the LS60's have a very impressive bass.
A mate of mine has a pair in white - they look stunning and whilst I've not heard them yet myself, he's delighted with them.
I'm a KEF fan (running a pair of Reference 3.2s at the mo) and really like the look of the LS60s - the only issue for me is is that I've never found audio software that's bettered MusicBee for me (running from PC) and there's no USB input on the LS60s to make use of their DAC. I'd still need to run my Topping D90SE which removes a large piece of the whole point of the LS60s being wireless. I know the KEFs can stream from a NAS but I'd want to see the app interface for it before making a decision to remove MusicBee from the equation. I had a stint with a Bluesound Node 2021 and hated the way it worked - the interface was dire, like a high-schooler's coding project - and things like artist sorting and album art were just terrible.
Would be interested to hear how you get on if you decide to take the plunge!

I'll let you know!I am waiting for the grey ones to be available, white won't work for this particular room.
I'm a Roon/Qobuz user, with Roon run off a MacMini attached to my library... it works well. The LS60's are close to being Roon ready, but not quite yet. Roon certified I think, but not the full thing.
My intention is to hardwire the LS60's to my router and have the ethernet link running between them - so not really wireless... The have HDMI, optical etc for other connections.

Great. I think I’m going to get a pair this side of Christmas. Just got a set of the lsx 2 and love the sound. Will you be running them with a sub?
I am holding off on a sub until I live with them for a bit.... as you know, the LS60's have four bass drivers - I would have thought they would deliver enough bass. But you never know.If you find yourself in Hampshire (near Highclere) before Christmas, come and have a glass of something and a listen. You'd be very welcome.
I am told they are not Roon ready yet, which is a bit of a pain, but I'll manage.

They should arrive tomorrow - and I read they are now Roon Ready.
Anyone want an M10?
That’s excellent. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on them. I missed your previous post. I’m up and down from Milton Keynes to Yeovil every week so shouldn’t be too much bother to drop in and have a listen if the offer is still open. Anyone want an M10?

Yes you'd pass by, I'm not far off the A303.PM me and you'd be very welcome to come and have a listen.
I hope I have enough 'audio memory' to hear the difference from my current system.
I've had a pair of Ruark Prologue II's which I bought new some years ago - and they sound superb... fed by two Class A mono block power amps. I suspect the LS60's to have better imagery and it means I can de-clutter a bit.

They've arrived and I'm listening now....
I was clearly spoilt with my Ruarks as I don't hear a massive difference yet* - but they'll need a little running in. The imagery is better - as I suspected it would be and I will need to fiddle with the EQ to get them the way I want.
They prefer higher volumes, which is fine as I listen at quite high levels.
I have them on an ethernet to the router so set up was seconds - no onboarding needed. Roon saw them straight away.

- I am hearing a very clean/clear mid range - pin point accuracy and positioning. I've had them all of about 20 minutes, so need to have some time.
