Portuguese MEO TV English Channels?
Discussion
We have MEO on the Algarve as part of our TV set-up although I'm currently in the UK so this is from memory.
MEO is similar to SKY, you can buy a basic TV entertainment package which excludes the sports channels or you can add on the sports channels at extra cost. From memory there are 6 or so MEO sports channels, like SKY each tends to be dedicated to one particular sport. There is widespread coverage of EFL games on MEO sports but the coverage features Portugese commentary. We pay €63 a month for a full TV package, decently fast internet and a land phone line including free local calls and free international calls after 9pm. Like SKY you need to have an argument at the end of each contract period to ensure they don't pump the price up.
SKY Go is another option but he would need a VPN set-up. Unfortunately SKY seem to be getting wise to this and many VPN's are now blocked. If he wants to access M.O.T.D. then an (Amazon) Firestick with a suitable VPN (Surfshark, Nord etc) should do the trick and is a very cheap option.
Final option is to go to a local TV supplier and ask for a "dodgy box" - but I won't elaborate on this (theoretically) illegal option - cough, cough.
