So for the last few months having a problem with sky. Its networked straight to the router, wifi is turned off.

Sky works well but when you go to select the apps either netflix or amazon prime they complain about lack of network connection.

If you ignore the sky box and simply connect th eTV to the router directly then the TV smart apps for netflix and amazon work fine.

If you look at the skybox setup its connected fine, but when you look at netflix setting when using the app through sky the second server down on the list of three goes offline, and netflix then reports it can't connect.

Rang amazon and netflix who say its skys problem which seems logical. ring sky and they say its netflix problem and to contact them. infuriating as they are both adamant there is no problem on their end

Anyone ever found a solution to this. Done the usual reset and reload of all the apps with no improvement

Could it be a bandwidth issue on the sky box? I used to have a similar issue with multiroom boxes - despite having a decent wifi connection in each room (min 2/3 bars) the ancillary boxes would drop off the network. Sky engineer came round and left us with a booster which solved it.

Also you say the wifi is switched off - what do you mean by this?

what happens if you disconnect the network cable and turn the wifi back on?

Have you tried using WiFi rather than hard wiring it?

I have the same problem with SkyQ, watching Britbox via Amazon Prime
(as you can’t get Britbox directly on SkyQ)
It buffers terribly via SkyQ. Unwatchable
But is 100% of via tablets/apps

I put it down to SkyQ sabotaging it as they don’t want you to watch Britbox!

I’ll try the wi-fi tip

Is the mesh turned off in the engineering menu? We had that without hardwired boxes and it fixed it
