Over ear headphones up to £100
Discussion
Looking for some over ear headphones - budget up to £100.
Bought some Philips SHP9600 few days ago and while they look nice and are comfortable I cant get on with their sound, very disappointed.
Must be easy to drive as they'll be used with my android phone.
Many years ago had some PX100s , liked the sound but on ear and hurt after a short while
Thanks

I have a pair of AKG K92s - not overly expensive but great bang for the buck. Overear, wired, closed back and to my ear great sound quality.
Was going to same the same - they also seem well put together as they have survived me falling asleep with them on more then a few times....Gluggy said:

How are they without an amp? I'll mainly be using them with my phone or tablet
I can only say that using them with my tablet the volume doesn't go loud enough for me.. I'd suggest that you try them on your phone and tablet and see what you think.. You might not need additional amplification. If your budget is up to £100 (could it stretch a little further?) how about the AKG 371 BT? Has detachable leads

I watched a few reviews on those and the k361 wired last night. One reviewer preferred the 361s. I was quite keen on them. I think it will come down to those or the 770 Pros. Thanks

More confused than ever. Every review i read mentions studio , where are headphones just for listening to music. Ive boxed the SHP 9600s up to return but wary because every headphone ive looked at up to the same price range doesnt really seem better.
Not sure why im not happy with them as they get decent write ups . Is it my hearing, that theyre open ?
