Advice please, turntable into powered speakers.

Afternoon,
My son is just about to buy an old turntable (pioneer PL).
He currently has a pair of fostex pm1 mk2 (active) and a focusrite 2i2 which he uses for guitar work.
He wants to connect the turntable to the speakers.
He'll need a turntable amp and I presume some sort of mixer to allow him to switch between the turntable and the focusrite.
I thought this would do the job.

I also thought that someone on here must have a better idea...
