Wireless HDMI wires (if that makes any sense)
Discussion
I apologise if this has been covered, I did do a quick search.
We're trying to tidy up the lounge a bit, and have mounted the TV on the wall. Most of what we watch on the TV is through streaming services, that run through an Amazon Firestick, but we still have a few DVDs, and the kids want a Switch for Christmas. But we've nowhere to put these now.
When we want to watch a DVD we just pop it on the floor, plug it in and clear it away after the film, but it would be better if there was a wireless HDMI wire. The idea would be to set the DVD player and Switch up in a cupboard, and let it "chuck" the signal from their own HDMI plug to a dongle or similar, to a corresponding one plugged into the back of the TV.
Is this a thing?
Something like this might work, but the price is about 6x the price I was hoping for...

Anyone got any advice? Distance to chuck is no more than about 5 metres.

Turns out it's a thing, but not much of a thing. And a bit expensive.
I'm not going to bother.

I’ve wired my sky box to the tv with hdmi down cat 5. You need a sender and receiver, it only does HD, not 4K and the old box would be prone to interference from switching lights on and off, the new one isn’t as bad.
Sky Q uses a WiFi network to send a signal to the mini box, the more WiFi, the more interference I would have thought?
