TV is this.

I'm not totally impressed with losing one of the HDMI connections on the TV to power it, but I don't think Optical can do dolby atmos

Any ideas 250 - 300 price range.

Professionally i would drop the atmos capability and spend the money on a standard bar or even just a LCR for that budget.

Adding tech is going to detract from the quality at that price.

Ok, what you recommend as something non techy that's good (given the price limitations) at that point, with optical connector.

Seems to have favourable reviews, I'm not looking to have a mini home theatre, my living room is the right size for a 50 inch TV with similar sized soundbar, provided its better than the in-built speakers and I don't lose any HDMI slots I'm good.

I have a Canton DM75. Don't have much to compare it to tbh, and obviously it's not a wall mounter. But sound is very good and glass aesthetic very nice IMO.

Sonos Beam is pretty good value for under £400 and does everything anybody needs.
