DAB Radio with Spotify/podcasts

I've got a couple of Alexa dots around the house which are ok but the radio is always a couple of minutes behind which annoys me slightly. I'm using a Roberts portabale DAB radio (https://www.johnlewis.com/roberts-rambler-bt-dab-dab-fm-bluetooth-digital-radio/green/p4101259) in the home office currently but would like something that I can play Spotify through as well as podcasts from my iPhone/iPad - any recommendations from people?

I use Google minis and play all music via Spotify through them, works a treat

Sonos is the obvious answer. There are some deals to be had if you dont need Alexa voice assistance.

If I play Spotify/podcasts though would I not need to 'stream' it from my mobile so that if I make or receive a call it would cut out?

Never knew they had a radio option, I thought it was all just for TVs and stuff so that could be an option maybe!

Stream via Bluetooth or Google Home. I have a few and the work very well for streaming everything.

Sonos uses internet radio not DAB (which is so much better)

Generally not.

The mobile acts as a remote control and once you set up the google device to work with your Spotify account just asking it for something works regardless of where your phone is
