Sony Bravia KDL49WD754BU 49" - Yellow faces
Discussion
Long story but I needed a replacement TV for one that got damaged, so I chose the above.
Watching Taboo, Westworld and Silent Witness recently, I noticed the skin tone on some faces was a yellowish orange blotching, but not all of the time. It was accentuated by sunlight or a dark room plus candle / dim yellow lighting.
Thinking it was probably just an iplayer / Netflix / NowTV codec issue or something, I watched the same scenes on my Plasma, but the skin tones were normal. I tried a factory reset on the Sony but still the same.
I bought it from Currys just before Christmas. Has anyone else experienced anything like this before? I'm just wondering if I'll end up in a "it's your eyes" no fault found type scenario if I take it back?

I have a slightly older model and IIRC from mine its turn off motion flow, auto brightness, black corrector & LED adaptive. Picture mode is cinema pro & expert 1 colour pallette.

I did have a bit of a play but nothing seemed to get rid of the Jaundice.https://www.avforums.com/PicturePerfect/

I haven't seen any settings for Motionflow but the TV is advertised as having it, but I will certainly try your suggestions tonight. Thanks!
I've also noticed the ARC doesn't always switch the amp on, and sometimes it switches it on, but no audio. I'm convinced the TV is a dudd!
Tried all those suggestions last night and Tom Hardy still has jaundice unfortunately, but only when he's on the right half of the screen, and only when there is something yellow in the scene. It's got to be some kind of "LCD-pixel-colour-leaking-biazimuth-reverse_polarity-phase-pulse-bandwidth-can't-think-of-the-right-wording" thing going on, so it's going back.
I think I'll up the budget a bit and go for a 50" Viera. Everyone loves Aunty Vera.

Hi,
Sorry to bother you. Did you ever get a solution to the yellow faces on your Sony tv. I am having the same problem and can't seem to get any info on it. My tv is about 10 months old and do not know if they will let me return it. Sony support are no help.
Any advice would be appreciated as it sounds as if the problem you had is the same.
Regards
