Plenty of power; had one myself and it ran speakers such as Neat Motive 2s, B&W CM5s, Monitor Audio BX5s, Fyne Audio 302s etc with zero issues...

if I can jump in, will the above be any use to me: I have amazon echo dot 5th gen speakers that play my firestick content, but they are Bluetooth only.

My Sony blue ray has various outputs but not Bluetooth. Can I plug dvd player sound into that, and will it transmit to my Bluetooth only speakers?

Secondly if above doesn’t work for my dvd problem, can that device be used to output to normal speakers instead, either active or not active? (via cables)

It's a Bluetooth receiver, not a transmitter.

You can hardwire your BDP to any amp/dac/pre-amp etc.
