kids going “outside” to watch telly isn’t much different to them staying inside watching telly.
The reality is they will get bored of the novelty after one day.

Either let the kids play outside or watch tv inside? Combining the two seems utterly pointless.
Blimey, there's some killjoys here. Does the novelty of watching the footy with your mates in a sports bar wear off too? Jeez.

'- "Hey, that's a great sports car you've got. I bet it goes quick.

'- "Yeah. I had fun for a day, but then the novelty wore off

As well as the big annual fixtures such as the tennis, the cycling, and cricket, the Grand Prix schedule, touring cars, motorcycling, we've got the Euros and the Olympics this year. All of that will happen on UK friendly times, too.

On top of that, console gaming on a 12ft screen.

It's not just the kids, either. Summer evenings, the boxing or The Proms or any themed event that takes your fancy.

Have you considered the impact on your neighbours or do you not need to bother on the basis that a big screen in your garden is a bit council and they will probably all be doing the same?.
Did you miss this from an earlier post?

It’s surrounded by 12ft hedges (so have plenty of areas that are extremely shaded) (and the pool shed is behind one!) I do have a spare shed which could be made nice, but maybe time to build a pool side pool house!
How many spare sheds have you got? Who do you think is buying Bentleys, Ferraris, Lambos and Astons in the UK? Doesn't exactly sound like someone in a semi on a council estate in Dagenham. Does it? Come on, guys. Raise your game.

Tried this last year. Didn’t have a huge budget (£700) and unfortunately it was an utter waste of time / effort. Couldn’t see a thing hehe

One for the Council thread.

They could watch it on their laptops if they wanted to be outside, and what if it rains?

The budget was your project killer. That, and the lack of an ALR screen with an ultra short throw projector if you were trying to view outside without being under cover.
