COE Cars in Singapore
Discussion
Want to get a car over here, but don't want to drop too much cash. As I'll only be here a year or so I was wondering if it was worth getting a COE car with a couple of years to run. Anyone know of any downsides to this cunning plan? Other than I'll probably be running about in an early 90's civic....
I'm being a tightwad and setting my budget at S$10k tops!!! Didnb't know you only get 3rd party though... might have to look at parf cars instead!!
That merc does look pretty good value for here, one of my friends has one and they do drive welll considering engine/bodysize..

Oh well, back to the drawing board!

Other options, something old and interesting (alfa Junior / Porsche 911 etc .. ) they will cost $40 - 60 now, and should sell easily for the same again in a year or so!
I'm really tempted by some of them, but not sure they will return the same value when I need to move on.... Convince me one way or another.... I need some wheels!XJSJohn said:
BTW, i probably should not meet your missus, she may want to kill me
Luckily for you next time she's out (mid April) she'll be just out of hospital after a shoulder replacement op so won't be able to swing for you for at least six months!XJSJohn said:

That is nice, and very deffo out of my price range if I'm to stay married!XJSJohn said:

I found this, gorgeous and only about 3 x what it would cost here. Gorgeous.
It's lovely and I've always liked them especially the TWR ones! Problem being is I've set myself a very miserly budget and this beast is only 4.7 x what I've allowed myself!!
XJSHappyGoLucky does have a nice ring to it though......

oops, look similar to the X300 wheels I have on mine. One of the diamond turned ones got damaged and not available any more. However, imho these suit the S and are a damn sight easier to keep clean!

think you just need SGCarmart on in the background, and just hit refresh every 10 minutes
Normally do, but today I have mostly been out on site doing walkdowns most of the day so have lost about three litres of fluids, beer will need to flow big time tonight to top levels back up!!Gassing Station | Asia | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
