hi guys - My company is unfortunately not covering my partners medical insurance in sing - BUPA have just quoted her £100 per month for quite a comprehensive cover - I have no idea - does this seem a standard sort of price?

Thanks - Dave

Depends, check to see if what cover they are giving, is it London hospital? and what cover you want, do you want/need to go back to the UK for treatment, I changed my medical so that it only covers Malaysian and Sing hospitals, (as I consider I live here) I'm with Allianz and I pay 1200pounds a year, for me but I'm old with a heart condition. They paid all the cost of a by pass operation no problem so good cover My wifes cover is under 500 a year as no preconditions and both include a portion of life cover (which is a Malaysian fiddle to get tax deduction).

AIA insurance here for me and the missus the Platinum cover (top package offered) works out at $1k each for non smoking 30 something people (i may have been conservative on the drinking bit though).

Where does the UK BUPA jobbie repatriate her to in event of overseas accidents? UK or Singa?

Can forward you the details of my Insurance blokie here in Singa if you want to have a chat.

Thanks all - john please could you send me the details of your guy at AIA?
This BUPA covers hospitals in Singapore, they've got it down to £70 - she is a non smoker and early 30's, never made a claim, very healthy etc.

Davey, Lou wasn't covered by my company... Seems standard practice if you aren't married.

Talk about it tomorrow, but I would get cover... 12 stitches in my face cost S$3,500 and I am yet to see my insurance money!!

Thankfully I am still beautiful!
