Sorry guys, work has been mental and my laptop is playing up at home, so I am not posting much at the moment!
I am 8 months into my tour at the end of this week and things are generally going well... Having said that, I am working too hard (though it is good for my career) and Lou and I are now at the point that I think we would give it another shot if I went home...
Oh, and I had stitches in my face after an 'interesting' evening at Attica! That's a story for a beer!
Maybe I need to rethink this!
Have another PHer coming to stay from Saturday night, while he finds his own place, as he has just got a job here! Sounds like we REALLY need to organise a beer soon as I think there are another one or two on their way...

Anglo-Sino relations are good.
I first tasted the friendliness of China, Shandong, some years ago, where I am now.
It is good here, but I can't speak for all of China.
There is a friendliness about Shandong, that apparently is missing in many other parts of China.
I am not sure I would live here permanently, but its is rather good.
Much better each passing year.
I think I am into year 3 here now, but not continuously mind you.
I am seriously thinking of moving out of Shandong Yantai / Qingdao / Weifang area, as it is quite cold in winter, and going down to southern China.
Beihai in Guang xi province, which borders Vietnam.
Beihai is sort of a coastal city.

I have Mark (from the Porsche forum) staying with me at the moment, so we have quite a PH crowd now!
After an unexpected tax bill in the UK yesterday, an unexpected hypo tax bill here (HR!!!!!!) and setting up all my direct debits into my funds this month... I am feeling somewhat broke! So, I may try (emphasis on try) to take it a bit easier until the end of the month!
I wonder if that will even last until tomorrow night... Though I will be in work for a good few hours between Thursday and Sunday (which everyone else will be off for).
It's my birthday on March 7th, so we will no doubt be tearing it up the first weekend of March
