Nope, no idea, never really paid that much attention to it, too many other distrations of the female variety.
Maybe one of the more sports orientated bars in either Lan Quai Fong or Wanchai. Never really did any drinking Kowloon side so cant suggest anything that side.
If your there for a while, just ask in the bars before hand.

Has anyone here relocated to HK?
Wouldn't mind seeing if someone has any experience and could answer a few questions.
Hi Lee,Wouldn't mind seeing if someone has any experience and could answer a few questions.
I'm in he process of moving to HK now from Dubai. Big LM fan and putting off the move so I can make the Classic this year for the first time (as well as GFOS while in the UK).
I'm relocating from Dubai. I see you also race - I do too - in he Dubai GT Championship. You found much motorsport in HK? I'm wondering how much of a waste of time it would be to take my car out there?
I move there about the 13th July. If you fancy a pint drop me a PM.
Cheers,
Will
I don't blame you for delaying the motorsport scene in HK is limited at best.
WTCC in Macau at the end of November and that's about it locally. By all accounts there are some 'circuits' on the mainland but racing per se doesn't seem to exist. I get to watch the GP this weekend at a reasonable hour which is the closest it gets seemingly.
Like the look of the car I have looked into importing mine very briefly and the import duties are steep especially so for road cars. A Porsche Boxster costs circa £96k here and pretty much anything interesting is expensive as cars are taxed massively to try and keep the numbers down. Traffic is also dreadful so it doesn't make great sense especially when cabs are cheap.
I'm actually returning from the UK on the 13th.
So if your sticking with telco sales then which telco will you be working for? You may end up in the same building.
Will certainly arrange to meet for a beer.

Guys, you need to have a chat with Berw.
Most of the Honkeys it would seem, keep their cars in Kuala Lumpur and race at Sepang as its cheaper (even with the flying) and you get a better track than Maccau etc.
There is a big HKCC series that they run there, as well as 1600cc, bikes etc!
see thread here for some pictures of what goes on!

Sure Berw will put me straight but seem to recall that the regs for HKCC are
I was drooling over an old Tuscan Challenge race car tht was in classifieds the other day, but think will set teh standards a bit lower / cheeper / less exotic to start with
- car must be 1988 or older
- weight / cc limit, 1000kg=2700cc up cc = up weight, down cc = down weight
- ummm .... think thats it!

Hey guys,
I've been thinking exactly the same thing on getting a track car!
I've got to get myself on track soon as... looks like they've updated the Sepang track days listed... they're all held during the week for the rest of the year from what I read... I don't mind taking days off to head up there though.
Where was the Tuscan listed? Be good if anyone know's of a dedicated web site for track/race prepped stuff around Malaysia/Sgp?
cheers
James

Tuscan was on PH and located in the UK.We are thinking of sourcing something already track prepaired in the UK, plus as many bits as we can fit in the boot, then get it ro-ro'ed out here!!
John, Buying in the UK is expensive, much cheaper to get a Malaysian car, few things always around you could get a cheap car for under 5,000 sing in KL and not have to take it out of Mmlaysia, remember it is expensive to trail a car Sing to KL, I sent Will he infomon racing at Sepang, next race weekend is 17th July, I wont be there as I am in Uk on Holiday then.
Right, let's have a whip around then!
- could always keep it just over the border and take it to the Pasir Gudang track?
Speaking of which I was going to head up there tomorrow and take a gander at it. I will try and line up for their next track day on 11th July if I can get in touch with a company to do the track car hire... otherwise I guess I'll 'rung what I brung' and do it in the best standard hire car I can find ;-)

Dont go to PG when it is busy to have a look, I work in PG on occassions, went lunch time in the week for a look and they let us drive around in the 4x4 free for afew laps, interesting track but people tell me you can hit the barriers in fast crs, and that is nearly impoosible at Sepang.
John to 'keep' a car in Kl it need to be imported, that means an import permit 'AP' and duty, even on a track car, difficult and expensive, and a trailer if track only, much better to buy a car here, Getting a trailer is difficult and I know as I have one of only two I know to be legal in Malaysia.

Berw, i see ... OK! How did the Honkeys get around it? Just pay up?
re PG, yes it is a bit more twisty and less run-off thaan sepang, but then it was designed for MotoGP as opposed to F1
You certainly do not need super horsepower there, your Locost is probably a perfrct machine, light and agile1
car track days are most saturday afternoons with the bikes in the morning. Whenever i have been it has been empty which was nice!
Just laughing at the idea of you guys trucking around in a 4X4, some interesting off cambers there that must have got the bodywork rolling!!!

The Hk guys have a six month permit, ship the ca form port to Sepang and it can not go outside the track, i brought mine in on a import permit, and paid the tax but it is an old car,
