Cheers!

I was in Singapore a couple of weeks ago - meeting a mate from UK for a beer.

I live in Bali by the way...

What are you doing in Surabaya?

We live in Ungasan, up in the Bukit. About 20 mins drive south from the airport

Can often be found out in Seminyak though.... Also on Jimbaran beach (10 mins from us), Uluwatu and canggu are also regular haunts.

Got to say that I'm liking Penang - it's kind of between the level of advanced civilisation of Singapore and the chaos of Bali..nice balance. Great food as well!

yea, usually in Kuta or Semenyak, which makes Nusa Dua a pain in the arse to get to (because I am inherently lazy and don't like to be separated from my beer for too long !!

Anyway, Surabaya this weekend ...

Have fun in Surabaya

We should do a beer in Seminyak at some point then. With a name like XJS I'm assuming you like a jaguar? I've owned five.

hahaha Surabaya ..... hmmm, ended up in Banyuwangi ... now for a Banyuwangi - Surabaya - Jakarta - Singapore travel day ..... how can they manage to ensure that every connecting flight is impossible to make!!!

On the Jaguar front I have only owned one complete folly of a growler, but that's not to say that the rest of my car history wasn't full of rust, leaks, eyeball watering fuel consumption and style !!

Yea, will ping you when in Bali next, alternatively drop me a line when in SG, there are a few PH'ers here too.

That's quite a travel schedule - hope it's not all Air Asia...you'll never meet those connecting flights!

worse, took my life in my hands - Wings - Lion - Jetstar ..... I just kept muttering "every landing you walk away from is a good one ...... "

Actually made all connections comfortably, and even found the $5/beer shack in Jakarta International.

I have him, jetstar are approved to fly in European airspace...not sure on the others!

We did fly Lion to Makassar for a wedding last year - seemed ok. Made it in one piece anyway!
