Singapore holiday,Trip to KL?
Discussion
Hi
I'm just after a bit of help,in Febuary we will have 6 days in Singapore,my original (half arsed) plan was to jump on the train after arriving and have a nice sightseeing trip up to KL,stay there for 2 days, then travel back.
But,now I've done a bit more research,It seems a right ball ache to get up to the train station, which is now at the top of the island (we arrive into Singa on a cruise ship in the morning)and fanny about with customs with 2 large and 2 small suitcases etc.
I've looked at the buses and they seem like a slightly quicker way(4 hours).
Or do we stay in Singa for a few day or two, leave our main luggage and jump on a plane up,or just sack off the whole thing and stay put for the whole 6 days and do KL another day when we have more time.
We have been to Singapore about 8 years ago and loved it,and there are a few more things to do and see now like Universal studios etc.
Anyone have any ideas?

Best way to KL from Singapore is the Aeroline coach that leaves Harbourfront and arrives KL at the Chorus hotel opposite the twin towers. takes about 4 hours depending on traffic. The KL airports are a long way out of town so once checked in, fly, clear immigrations and find a taxi to town its taken as long as the coach and you didn't see anything between Singapore and KL (mostly rubber plantations and old Proton Waja's wrapped around trees!!
To be honest for 6 or 7 days there is plenty to see and do in Singapore.
Museums, night safari, zoo, haw par villa, jurong birdpark, resort world sentosa, universal studios, Chinatown, little india, bike ride on Pulau Ubin, explore sentosa, shopping on orchard road / bugis street / sim lim.
dining out, local street and hawker food + high end restaurants, rooftop bars or Club Street shop houses.

Thanks for all the input.
We've decided to stay in Singapore,we might do KL another time.
I booked the last night there in the marina bay sands hotel, cost a bloody fortune but I'm a building anorak and I've seen it get built on the discovery channel, plus I want to go in that pool.
Now I've just got to find some accommodation for the previous 4 nights, thinking about the Clarke key area as that seems nice and central,we won't be spending a fortune on that now I've broke the bank but as long a s it's clean and tidy I'm easy.
