Hello from Shanghai!
Discussion
Evening all,
I've been reading the forums on and off since buying my last car but have never quite got around to posting. However I recently moved out to Shanghai with work and have found myself lurking around the forums more and more regularly to get my car fix (occasional VW Santana rides don't quite cut it) so thought it was about time to break my silence and say hi!
On the car front I currently have an S2k garaged back in the UK, which considering the rain/flood pictures I've been seeing on the news, is probably the best place for it at the moment.
Are there any PHers currently out here in China?
Cheers!

Always up for beer. Especially seeing as many of my colleagues seem to have an aversion to the stuff! In fact after ending up on a completely sober work do to a K-box the other night; being repetitively persuaded that I must know all the words to Westlife because I'm English; I'm eyeing up a new years resolution to drink more...
Yeah, having a cracking time here and finding it really interesting even just wondering around aimlessly at the weekends - would definitely recommend it!
I'm living in the Pudong overlooking Century Park at the moment. I think ideally I would be the other side of the river in Puxi for the social side of things as it's quite family orientated around here, however it makes what is a 15 min walk to the Pudong office or a 45 min trip to the manufacturing site (out towards the airport) too much of a hassle.

Actually I think you do right by living on the PuDong side I'm living in the Pudong overlooking Century Park at the moment. If I had the choice I think that's where I'd be. The other side of the river can be just too hectic at times. If you live and work in PuDong then you're on a winner.
I used to live in the XuJiaHui area and cummute up to the F1 race track on certain days. Also used to make my way in to PuXi centre and around PuDong on my free time. It is a great city for exploring.
