Lost in translation ..SG business names

Anyone else encountered amusing local mis-understandings of what doesn't translate appropriately into English ?

Some of my Singaporean female colleagues today proposed renaming one of our business units into G.I.M.Private Ltd

.. they had never heard of the word 'gimp'

My employer brought in 'Behavioural Safety'. and then used the acronym BS, the stoped the acronym when I wrote the HSE dept and told them what bs meant.

I saw one on a van this morning, it was something like:

Ban Cheong Medical Supplies Pte LTD
Import Export of Chinese and Western Medicine

They really should drop the "Ban".

A also liked the sign on a photo printing machine at plaza sing some time ago "Out of Servers".

The rather appropriately named purveyors of women's underwear, "wko" always gives me a chuckle!
