Hopefully one of you can help, Bridgestone Thailand have stopped doing the tyre I want, so I think I'm going to have to bring them in from Japan myself as Bridgestone Japan still make them.

What I'm looking for is Bridgestone RE070 225 / 40R18

I can't find them anywhere here in Bangkok, so I thought I would turn to you kind gentlemen ;-)

Is it practical to import road tyres into Thailand? I know the duty into Malaysia is huge as they try to stop you importing, to protect the local rubber market. I know people who ride their bike to Sing just to buy bike tyres as they are relativly expensive here.

The tyres would actually be for a car in the UK so could be sent direct from there, if I could find any of the bloody things.
