Very little is the answer,
Classic world racing have a Capri at Sepang that you can hire for 2000 pound a race weekend, http://www.classicworldracing.co.uk/ but I think it is only for hire on the race weekend of the Malysian Super Series when the managment are in Malaysia. I am nothing to do with them but I do have the spec of the Capri so I'll put it below. (I hope that is OK with mods)

You can get experience days in a couple of cars http://www.malaysiangp.com.my/story/sepang-circuit... but again I think expensive, it gets good reviews from people who just want 2 laps to have a look but I don't know any one who I consider a serious racer to have used them.

What are you thinking about? if you are looking for a days hire to match a business trip or holiday you will be very lucky to find a day when the track is available as there appears to be aload of MotoGp testing booked, if you are thinking of moving to KL then it is cheaper to buy a car, there are load of cheap Protons around many with serious sengines from Mitsubushi, If you want to race then its expensive as there is no cheap racing and you need a seiou Porsche, AM etc. There are must be loads of race cars around that are no longer eligble to race due to the changes in regs this year, a couple of Radicals etc which would make nice track day cars, but I don't know where they are.

If you want more info or somthing specific ask and I'll try to answer

There are lot of eager pistonheads types at work. Given the cost of cars in Singapore, most only have experience with small family cars. Word has got around that I was once or twice seen on a track in the UK, so they are eager for a taste of real action. Hence I thought hiring a car and joining in a track day might be the way to satisfy their thirst.

Ok did not know you were in Sing, have a look at tractioncircle, good sing trackday club, nice bunch of people, the have a day at Sepang most months, and also at JB, I am sure you can get a ride in a car, which is a good pace to start, cheapest/best thing is a track car kept in KL. you can get a Proton with a mitsubishi evo engine cheap. either keep here or jb.
Can you ride a bike? Bikes are cheap in Sing, and Sepang on a bike is good fun, not the same as a car but good, insode of turn 2 on a bike is like looking down a cliff, and yet it looks flat in a car.

This is a quick note as I am now off to the Malasin Super Series,

bit closer to home, but there is (or used to be) some guys in Pasir Guidang that had some race prepped proton's that you could hire by the hour on the Saturday Afternoon open track day sessions.

Alternatively could get a suitable track toy and garage it in JB (and i may even have a spare garage there wink )

Yes yes yes yes yes! I didn't know about this: http://www.johorcircuit.com.my/
Any leads as to how I can track these guys down? That sounds like just the ticket.

I you go to JB curcuit, at any time, they will tell you, they are a friendly bunch, but when I went to llok it was very old tec, no timing and the surface of the track is awfull, ok for aplay but not worth investing any serious money in acar to race there

As Berw says, its rather old tech there, but a fun track, not as big and open as the F1 of Sepang. (it is originally a bike track)

The guys at PG are all very friendly though, fridays Saturdays are pay by the hour open days, Bikes in the Morning and Cars in the afternoon. Always popular with the SG bikers but not so many cars! Just rock up and have a chat with the people there.

here are a few laps on youtube
