Just thought I would see what the likely-hood might be, first to find out who is going to F1 in Singapore this year and secondly, would it be possible to meet up to put faces to names?

I shall be flying in from Saigon on 23rd (Friday) until 26th (Monday), unless I am arrested and locked up then of course my flight plans will change.

Also as I'm not too versed with Singers I shall leave it to the "locals" XJS and Bing o to maybe suggest somewhere good to have a sherbet or two.....if, of course they are going or even remotely interested in meeting up.

Phumy, I'm sure we will look after you...John is probably still getting into the swing of things after the long weekend here. Did you get a place to stay sorted out in the end, and what tickets do you have?

Not sure what the support races are this year on Saturday, as I enjoyed the Porsche races - much more fun than F1!!

I've emailed this place to see what they are doing for the weekend - we watched FP1 and Raceday from here, and it wasn't too dear (SGD88 on raceday last year with 2 free drinks). I think there are some pics from last year on my Facebook to give you an idea.

Zone 4 still gives you decent access to most of the fun, and I'm sure we can hook up for a beer or two even if I can't get tickets to 1-Altitude...

did i hear the words "pissup" and "Singapore" ????

Fullerton Boat House can be a good place for watching the friday or saturday antics!

For the first Singa GP i organized a pisup in the Post bar at teh fullerton as there was a big crowd of PH'ers in town (the recession had evidently not really sunk into the UK back then hehe )

I haven't got tickets for the GP this year, doing the same strategy as previous years, and saying i will watch it on TV, then at the last minute blagging some paddock passes because some other poor bd couldn't make it hehe

defo up for a pissup!!

on a more serious note - if Phumy is staying in Balestier then somewhere like Robertson Quay may be a good meeting point - and Dom9 and a few other lurkers may be about too!

provisionally the Harry's there until we get a better idea? What time you rocking up Phumy?

you are in Singapore, nowhere is far from anywhere!!!

its about $12 in a taxi

so if you are going to be in the city on POETS day i guess we could find somewhere in that area instead. That is Ben's area though ... i avoid the CBD as a rule, unless someone is paying me a lot ....
