When i complained about this last year you said it didn't happen in Sing as there was a regulation on the amount of adverts that could be shown there, what happend?
I agree by the way, and I work for them, I don't understand why they need to advertise, in Malaysia they have a huge portion of the market and must be known to everyone.
What is interesting is the petrol stations on the Kahsas highway, (ouside Proton factory) there are three stations in a row, Shell, Esso and Petronas, if you pull in you can always find an empty pump at Petronas while the others are full,
By John reonsider as I need Petronas to keep going until the daughter finishes school.

yea sorry, forgot that you work for them hehe

Last year F1 was on starhub and they seemed to control the adverts.

This year they have moved F1 and football to Singtel, which is a pain in the arse:-

A- because i have to get the football package for F1 (and hate football)
B- singtel seems to be ramming adverts down our throat - if it wasn't Petronas it was Proton!

I think it must be some sort of Malaysian (not so) subliminal messaging to Singapore hehe

edit - always liked the SHELL Petrol Station right opposite BP in Sunbury hehe

No you are now getting the Malaysian feed, noving special aimed at you, obviously star hub were taking out some adverts we've had it for years, I agree with you it is such overkill you risk losing customers, but I've told them this over coffee and no one appears to understand it.
I think its that they got the budget and need to spend it, and as they retail in such few developed markets they have limited options, but the moto gp is Ok doesn't happen there, so maybe the rules betwwen the FIA and the FIM are different.

If Bernie is given a (large) piece of the action then it will be allowed!!

Agreed though, that much interruption from one brand makes me actively choose to avoid it!

Always used Shell fuel by choice, but if the same had been done by them i would probably have been at the ESSO forecourt this morning getting my tank of go go juice!

I have opted not to take Astro, its full of drivel. been two months without Tv and my three kids arent fussed. the little one watches DVDs from the UK. And been buying good series either on DVD or off itunes... Agreed, never been to a petronas filler yet, esso 97 has been the fuel of choice for the vast beast that is the commuting box... that is until the E28 arrives smile

But i do miss the live sports/ news... thats the next task!

During the Canada race Petronas adverts where OK at least in Malysia, what was it like in Sing? Problem now is adverts from Colgate and Proton, would suggest stopping buying Protons in protest but I don't know anyone who would buy one any way.
