Weight of rear clip?

Wish you had asked that early this morning.
We moved the body mouldings from our old unit into the new one this morning. We could have weighed it before we stored it on the roof of the office.
And before you ask, no I'm not getting it down again. Paul and I had a very nervous 10 minutes lifting it up there.

Safe removal and re-fitting of the Ultima rear clip is a difficult job - it shouldn't be..
What we need is someone to design/build and then sell, a piece of equipment that can do the following:-
After opening the rear clip you slide the contraption (which will be on wheels) under the rear clip and it will be very close, in height, to providing support for the clip - maybe there could be some screw-adjustment or similar to raise or lower it to get it just right.
I would imagine there could be some padded arms going vertically up the clip to support it, as well
Then, you are able to unscrew the gas struts (or maybe you remove them before the contraption is wheeled in to position ?) and the whole rear clip will be safely balanced on the "clip-stand".
Then you undo the bolts and slide them out - the clip can then be safely wheeled away.
If I had just started a business not a million miles away from Fareham, I would make this "clip-stand" and I would expect to sell a lot of them.

Phils device would incorporate a plate that would bolt to the two pivot points on the clip and onto his lifting device thereby securing the bottom of the clip as you rolled it away. Maybe a strap with fittings to grap the two latch bars. then the straps would attach to the device and have a small rachet to tension the holding strap. When is this thing going to be done, how much and can it be broken down for shipping to California and when it needs to be stored? Lee
