These are probably simple questions I dont want to bother the factory with. I'm trying to decide what I need and what I dont need. I've come across a couple things that I am not sure are, so if any owners could help me in a little explanation on what they are it would be great!

"STAGE 13
Drive shaft pair with lobro universal joints and fixing bolts
Purpose made from high grade steel."

Does anyone know what these axles can withstand hp/tq wise?

"Petrol tank link in stainless hose."
"Braided stainless steel clutch pipe and fittings."
"Aluminium glass cloth canopy protection."
"Steering wheel boss with deformable structure."

^What are these accessories?

If you have anything more than a 'cooking' SBC then you will need those uprated shafts.

You can make up the tank and clutch lines yourself but you will be hard pressed to make a significant saving over the Factory price. If you have not yet experienced a Factory supplied part then let me explain...if the tank link pipe needs 7 'P' clips to secure it in place then it will come with 7 clips, 7 pop rivets (correct length), 7 spreader washers all bagged and labelled.

The Glass cloth you may well be purchasing by the meter to use elsewhere. I covered my fuel tanks with it which makes keeping thing clean in the engine bay much easier. In this case it is glued to the underside of the rear clip to stop the silencer heat from damaging the clip.

You will need a deformable structure steering wheel boss to pass the IVA test. If you don't buy from the Factory you will still have to buy one somewhere else and you don't know the size of the shaft splines.

ETA Just seen that you are tother side of pond.
I think the Factory still offer free shipping of your first/main order to the US. If so it is worth putting as much as you can into that first order as subsequent orders will cost dear if you end up paying shipping, customs dues, taxes, couriers etc.

I dont see any uprated shafts on the pricing list am I missing them?

"Petrol tank link in stainless hose."

What is the purpose of this? What does it do?

"Braided stainless steel clutch pipe and fittings."

I dont have any clue what the purpose of this is???? maybe it's just the verbiage that is messing me up...

Stage 13 are your drive shafts.

The link between the tanks allows for the tanks to balance.
If the link is fitted to the upper connections the tanks will maintain the same level until the fuel gets below that point then the one in use will run down on its own.
If you fit the link at the lower connection then both tanks will stay the same level until almost empty.

The clutch line is the connection between the clutch master cylinder and the clutch slave cylinder on the gearbox. The 'Braided hose' is a flexible plastic hose with a protective stainless steel outer covering.

The 'UPRATED' driveshafts are included in stage 13 or whatever number it is these days, 'uprated' meaning modified from the standard Ford Granada items. I understood the modification centres around the stub axles which are improved over the original Ford factory design. These are not modified to the same degeree as the J.S. items though. HTH.

Thanks for the reply, the wording confused me a little bit. A pipe means something different to me.

Makes sense now. Thanks!

J.S.? I'm concerned about the rating of these shafts, so they are ford granada shafts with upgraded cv joints?

I believe the Factory ones have both a better shaft and better joints.
I don't remember anyone breaking one but I do know the Ford ones can be broken.

Jeff was in a different ballpark running 1030hp so I'm not surprised he went a stage further on his shafts.
