Nottingham to Kent should be enough.

Steve

Fixed your pics for you.

Have fun mate! I bought one back in June and it's just the best road car I've ever driven.

Right hand gear change is a doddle after a couple of drives. Watch out for Mr Plod - you'll be a lot more obvious now compared to whatever you used to drive!

+1

Great to see a true petrolhead getting into an Ultima.

The Ultima forum is brilliant by the way, plenty of good advice and interesting stuff here.

Don't worry about the hair.........the only thing that will stand out in a photo will be the ear to ear grin.

Hi Frank, on the engine question ? yeah good the oil pressure stayed rock solid it never got hot and ran like a dream yes its on carb and it pulls like a train and on my gental drive back ( no more than 3000 rpm ) returned above 20 to the gallon so far so good , any reason for asking ? :-)

No reason for asking ; it's just that I havn't talked to anyone with a similaer setup to mine . I improved the idle screw settings ; if you want to know how , ring me . I took sump and rocker covers off and all the torque settings were OK and not one particle of dirt or swarf anywhere . Very pleased with my Am SP engine . I havn't got a clue how you kept below 3000 rpm . The first time I drove I was on the limiter in 3rd 200metres from the house !

Enjoy !

Don't you warm up the engine, water and oil before flooring it? yikes

If you 'floor' these tuned engines before the oil temp (not water temp) is up to around 70 degrees they will not last long even with the best oil money can buy.

Don't worry ; the lane from our house to the take off strip is 1/2 mile long and very slow ,so by the time I get there it's OK. Oil still golden on 800 miles .
