Hi Guys,
Just a quick one. I am working towards fitting the cab on the body, but before I do I want to test the heater fan. The wiring has not been all put together yet, as I don't want any cooking going on if I connect the battery, so..

The ground wire is in place from the unit, and there is a connector running from the unit with 3 wires - red, orange and yellow.

Does anyone know what each does?

Presumably the red is the main + feed? ..so can I temporarily connect the battery + to this to check the running of the motor without doing any damage?

What other tests would be useful before final fit of the cab?

cheers

Keith

Take the black to ground.
Then apply +12v to:-
Yellow...low speed
Red....medium speed
Orange...high speed.

Steve

ETA When you come to connecting the battery into the system put a fuse holder between the positive terminal and the positive wires. Fit a 10amp fuse which will be OK to test most of the circuits one at a time. Then fit a larger fuse for the heavier circuits like headlights. This way if you have anything wired backwards or shorted you will just pop the fuse rather than cook the wiring.
