Bin there Pete............it sucks, getting your first flying break is real tough...chin up, have a beer or two and put it down to experience.
If you didn't get the job, the job wasn't the one for you and a better one will definitely come your way!
Anyhow, three whole weeks away from your future Ultima build sounds like tooooooo long!
Keep plugging away and good luck.

Arrh I'm always smileing, if it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger
I had a bottle of wine from the bottom shelf and pie last night that did the trick.

Well I've not got the job so I guess I can say the VIP was Roman Abramovich
The silver helicoter was the one I flew.

Bah, don't be peeved as I know how those type of people can be. You stand around on call 24h/24h and have to jump to it at any time of the day or night to reply to all their whimes, not counting the hours of work, etc. I'm sure you'll find something better and more satisfying, apart from the top notch equipement imo you may not have access to and play with when dealing with more "normal" types.
Cheers
Daniel

i'm an ordinary joe working every hour i can in order to build an Ultima.

i also fly a silver machine, but the difference is...mine's a Volvo FH480 and can be regurlarly seen in the early hours on the way up north.

(i've delivered to Her Majesty..but she wasn't on a yacht at the time)

isn't it amazing that a car can bring people together from such wide and diverse backgrounds?

good luck with the job hunting!

Tell me about it! I know, I work on one of the many Gin Palaces down here. Its not what it is made out to be. I love flying in them and its amazing experience having them land on your aft deck, but the heli ops, leaving port every time, securing them to the deck for sea, paper work, etc can be a pain in the arse for the First Officer / safety officer who has a million other things to do at the same time.

James.

Pete,
You're lucky you missed out, it's a real drag working there.

I'm down here every two weeks for work and here's where I'm forced to stay:

(I'm typing this from the room right now in fact!)

Last week I was dragged to Monaco for meetings ho hum!!:

Did see some nice cars that may be just as head turning as the GTR though:

Basically mate you're better off in the UK as you can get weary of perfectly blue skies you know.
