Sunday night adventure - Thanks Kyle (Gulf -LS7)

Last night I headed up to see Kyle about re-powering my GTR with supercharged 6.0 (yes, my car is for sale but it doesn't stop an owner from embarking on a full engine upgrade right?), he's about 50 miles away from me. All going well, joining the m6 when pop! the clutch goes...
So in the spirit of adventure I decide to try to make it the 28 miles to Kyle's all in third gear. Get near enough and Kyle being top man he is, meets me and we push/pursuade my GTR onto his drive.
Now Kyle has my GTR sitting on his drive slowly leaking fluids onto it (as all good SBC's should, call it 'SBC sweat' if you will) and he offers to take a look at my clutch/slave cylinder etc.. over the next few days. Top Stuff! And seeing my good fortune at meeting a chap who 1. knows what he's talking about. 2. offers a brilliant price to sort and 3. actual seems to enjoy it. I take the chance to pull out my 'To Do' list and although taken aback with it's size he doesn't actually refuse to complete for me
And then I say, "Oh, any chance I could have it back this Wednesday as I have a trackday booked?"
To follow by "Any chance of a lift home now?"
And he didn't boot me out of his house and throw a match on my GTR!
So, to Kyle I say thank you so much. What a top bloke that actually turned a potential nightmare into an interesting and good night out.

Lol....that doesn't surprise me.
Kyle kindly volunteered to travel the country to help me look at a couple of Ultimas. He even drove up to me in York one evening just to drive back the following morning because is snowed heavily overnight and we did not want to risk the drive to Scotland particularly if we were going to drive a GTR back - when we did eventually see it we walked away after 10 minutes but that's a different story!
I now feel quite guilty that after all his help I went behind his back and bought a 2005 Noble M400 but I wanted something to play with on track and may still look at an Ultima later this year.
He has also volunteered to lend me his GTR over the Summer which I will be taking him up on

I cannot praise Kyle enough. As last week a Friend & I were looking at an Ultima in Leeds & within 3 hours he came up from Shropshire to inspect it for me...
A top friendly guy & a credit to the Ultima fraternity & looking forward to joining it too. It was the first time I had met him in person & was a pleasure spending a few hours with him, plus his knowledge on Ultima's was fascinating to say the least.
Finally, once the right car is sourced I'm going for the LS2 with Procharger & all necessary acroutrements done by Kyle to his specification with Fighting Torque & Ten Of The Best events in mind etc...

partly yes...I have done loads of research and with my good friends help(can am Dave) im going with a Procharger and a LS2. The lads on LS1tech have also pointed me in that direction. The LS2 is a strong unit (as are all the Ls) but it blends itself well with the blower and we should see 600BHp with the standard 2 with the possibility of 800bhp with a built for the purpose engine.
TRM has not helped the situation and put my plans back a year but im much happier with the blown 2 in preference to the 7!! It also gives me another Winter to look forward to in the garage
