Audi V8 & V10 Engine fits

I'm starting to plan another project, this time I want to put a audi engine in.

I know there are a few people on here that have fitted audi engines.

I wanted to know how many changes you needed to make to your chassis, would you guys be so kind as share some info and email me some photos.

I would also be intrested to see what you did with your fuel tanks.

Autobionics are currently building an Audi V10 Ult, they may be able to give you a steer...

The chassis changes are minor... just a case of cutting out the mounts and welding in new ones. If you don't want to do this yourself, then any local engineer worth his / her salt can do this in their sleep - won't cost much either.

As for the tanks... well, the RS4 (V8) engine is very short, so leaves a lot of room between the engine and cockpit. I have chosen to fill this gap with a single rectangular tank. Another reason for me doing this is that I have had 2 small rads made and will place one in either side where the old tanks used to sit. I have opened up the side body panels to facilitate better airflow.

Just keeps everything nice and neat as all the engine 'stuff' sits closely together!

Not much to see yet Hilly as the engines still at the workshop and the manifold, etc. is still with Altiss. Hope to have made some (photographic-worthy) progress by end of March.

There is a B5 RS4 engine going at MRC, this is the v6 turbo

What is MRC, a V6 turbo sounds like a nice idea.

I've very weary about the heat build up under the rear clip with a turbo.

How in the hell are they doing the 'box? Presumably they would need to add some kind of transfer box to the output shaft, running a propshaft parallel to the box, itself driving some kind of diff mounted between the engine and box, with some kind of passthrough allowing the crankshaft to attach to the box.

I know it doesn't sound that different from a normal 4wd setup, but in those cases the front diff is ahead of the engine; here it needs to be between the engine and box.
