HI folks,

I am very close to order my CanAm kit from Ultima, and still trying to decide which color either orange or white. I have seen
very few pictures of a white one, but this is my favorite. Should have some advantages in bright sunlight and white always goes well with
everything that is black. If someone can provide links or pics of white CanAms that would be very helpful.
Here a pic of my R8 in white with black wheels and carbon side blade

If I was ordering now or up for a respray, I'd be going for white, with a couple of blue le mans stripes on - the GTR in the gallery like this is absolutely mustard! Everyone tells me white is the new black!!??!! Go on - order it in white...

I think black wheels are mandatory for a white car, so thatis what I am going for.
Now just have to wait 2 years for putting the first pictures. I will put a LS3 in it, probalby with
a hot cam cause I like if an engine picks up revs instantly.
Will order my build now through the german rep so will be an asking member on this forum for
the time on now. Hope to find some support

thanks

IMHO, the white(silver?)/black combination makes the R8 look like a cheap kitcar. One of those Banham thingies. Such a shame.

Qwick: I couldn't agree with your choice of motors more the ls3 with a good cam and no cats should make great power and be much less exspensive than the ls7. Good luck with your project.Lee

actually I think this white and black looks very good, the picture is not really telling the truth,
the car has all the carbon bits you can order and it really looks nice, however i think it is quite slooooooooooooow (:

I've seen a couple of R8s in white and they look great in the flesh, not so great in photos.

I hate to say this, I'm not keen. But I'm not keen on white cars anyway and I'd be a bit worried that because they're trendy now they'll not be trendy soon.

But most people who know me ignore me! tumbleweed

not good imo, it would look better without those dustbin lid wheels!!!

Dont think those Shearings/Wallace Arnold coach wheels do it any favours!

Black and white idea is cool though (ha-ha), maybe some subtle black and graphite stripe would compliment the job too!! (carbon or chequer effect??)
