CV joint boots

More information on the boots:
The two types of boots available are the small ones that the factory ships with the GKN axle assembly and these are known as aero boots. The larger accordion shaped boots are known as bellows boots.
The aero boots are designed to keep the grease in the CV joint at high speed and should be installed with according to the factory instructions (the boot to some extent sticks back into the boot housing).
The accordion style boots are meant for low speed, long travel suspensions and will deform greatly at speeds above 120-140 allowing grease to accumulate in the boot away from the joint.
There are multiple vendors for both styles and a google search using either aero cv boot or bellows cv boot with the outside diameter on the cv housing will be useful. The inner cv joint on the G50/52 is 108 mm in diameter and the axle is 25.4 mm in diameter.
The outer boot is instantly cut if the upright is allowed to the lowest point of suspension travel on my car so the shocks are off to Intrax for a reduction in range.
For a street driven car the outer cv accordion boot cover from NAPA is listed under part number 686-1086.
