Have a few question on how to install a Pioneer N4 system.

1. What do you use for a antenna for a Ultima.
2. What wire do you hook up the Speed detection circuit too.
3. How much space is behind the two lower kick panals. (Depth) Isa there room for 6 1/2 inch speakers?
4. What do you use for rear speakers.. Flush mounded speakers??
5. Do I need to do any special wiring for the power requirements for the system?

Thanks John

I installed an AVIC, with the following results:

1. What do you use for a antenna for a Ultima - I mounted a hidden antenna under the dash (it's GRP after all) - it worked fine

2. What wire do you hook up the Speed detection circuit too - I used the Pioneer induction sensor mounted to the front wheel

3. How much space is behind the two lower kick panals. (Depth) Isa there room for 6 1/2 inch speakers? - that depends on the depth of the speakers and the routing of the ally coolant pipes. Best bet - check clearance then buy speakers.

4. What do you use for rear speakers.. Flush mounded speakers?? Yes (same for lower kick panels). Very restricted space to mount them though, so again, measure carefully and then purchase

5. Do I need to do any special wiring for the power requirements for the system? - I used high power cables with fuses directly from the battery for the amp, with the standard Ultima loom wiring for the headunit.

Stig thanks for the reply. The antenna I was refuring to it the one for the FM/AM radio. Any thought on that.
Can you use the speedo - porsche sensor for the speed detection circuit.

The antenna I mentioned was for AM/FM reception. It was a stubby rubbery antenna that was mounted to one of the dash chassis rails by the aircon blower box. The GPS antenna was routed up to the front of the dash (on top of it) for a clear view of the sky.

I believe you can use any induction sensor. You just have to set up the correct pulse per revolution & distance.
