I'm looking into getting a redesigned front end made for the GTR and it occurs to me that the old Sports front (with a tad of Mosler influence) is quite close. The Sports for Japan on the factory site is particularly attractive to me if it had some tasty lights.

So the question is that without the hideously ugly radiator vent in the front clip where does all the heat go?

No where - the engine overheats.

I think you will find that sthotfast doesn't have a vented bonnet and he has no overheating problems at all. Mind you, he is running a standard ZZ4 motor which I think is circa 380bhp and 5.7 ltr's and so does not get as hot as some of the larger displacement/power motors out there. As for the hot air and the question as to it's path without a vent, I don't know but hopefully Paul will be along soon to enlighten us yes

I was particularly attacted to the front on this car, really smooth and clean - just couldn't figure out where the hot stuff went.

Now with some subtle Mosler/E-Type louvres and SSS headlights wouldn't that be tasty...........

Didn't want to bother SSS until I had a fairly good design.

An SL-C front Photoshopped onto an Ult looks rather jolly - in Black naturally ...........
