Upper Door hinge question

[San Diego GTR]

Has anyone tried to anodize, powder coat or paint the upper door hinges on a GTR? My car is black and they really stand out more than I'd like. I'd like to try to minimize their appearance if possible. What suggestions do you guys have to consider for this?

Not done it but see no reason why you could not paint or powder coat.
You would need to open out the hole in the door frame to allow for the coat of paint. Anodising the ali bit and black stain would also work.

Yes Anodising the best as doesn't really alter the size... the GTW has them Black as per Customer request...

They're steel - they cant be anodized - you'll need to paint em

Yours might be but every one I've fitted and ever seen are Aluminium.... Sorry thats Aluminum here in in north America....

Ah sorry just got it do you mean the Body insert or the Rose Joint (Rod End) ???

Rose joint is steel - On mine they've been ground off a bit by the factory (must have been sticking up) - and they're rusty where they've been ground.
