Have heard from Ted/Richard re. the Ring attempt.

Yes - it's official. They will try for a sub 7 min (yes - that's SUB 7 min) lap tomorrow as a record attempt with Sport Auto Mag. They have been running test laps today and they're "well on target" to make history. Only problem is - it's now raining!!

More news (almost) as it happens.

Just had a look at Guys Wiki link in the other thread and it says the Sport Auto mag timing runs are normally driven by the editor Horst von Saurma-Jeltsch who it would seem is a very accomplished ring driver.
