A New Ultima Forum

What is wrong with this forum

Got to applaud your industry and creativity.

I would have some reservations, however, that there may not be enough Ultima owners to sustain successful chat on such an all-singing-all-dancing Forum.

This place has been on the go for eons and even though it's pretty much a 'single-topic' platform things can still be deathly slow.

I could be wrong though... I frequently am!

True, this forum has been around a very long time. Ultima ownership is not very high but it's an elite group of people. With the help from you guys we can keep the forum up and running very long time. Hosting costs is very little. I just need to get membership up and content added. I need a moderator like stig on our forum.

I'm sure there is nothing wrong with your forum. Looks just like a thousand others, all of whose work very nicely.

Trouble is for me is that I'm happy here and really don't have the time to be on this forum, let alone surf another!

Why don't you just use this one.......or have I missed the point??

I know what you mean, old dogs new tricks. Just give it a chance you might come to like it better. Content can be much better organized. Why not give the Ultima a much better deserved site. This forum is hard to find it's barried.

Nothing wrong with this forum it has great content. It's just this Ultima forum is part of a big list of forums on this site. The Ultima deserves it's very own site.

I don't see the point in another forum at all. I check in on other forums on pistonheads and am happy with this Ultima forum having just one topic area. Any more topic areas for me would just turn me off.

Some of us have been around years and supported PH from early days. I like the ultima forum and others so why would I want to switch. Also we would miss the fun of the past such as Tuckshop!

No its not. I hope nobody thinks they are anymore elite than anybody else because they have an Ulitma.
If anything they are a 'lucky' group of people.

I like this forum thanks, mostly because there are so many other parts to it. I dont always ask for help in just this part.

It seems to offer the same, but split into sub categories, and for that we need to pay?

I think if you want to create a new subscription forum, you need to create something that is very different and can offer more than this can. And as this place offers all the knwledge you could want, I think you'll struggle.

I think this forum works well. Its also contains a wealth of knowledge that has been accumulated over the years. Another might work, but I would find it easier to have one forum with everything Ultima in, rather than the topic categories found on other sites.

I only ever see 6-10 posts on a good day from Ultima Owners/Builders/Enthusiasts on P/H, is this other site (no URL) full of Ultima stuff not posted on here ?

No payment required to join, it's just a forum. Man guys you don't have to join. Yes, I'm currently in Venezuela for several months, I'm from the US. No build for me yet, you would be crazy to build one here in Venezuela. I know cars and know them really good. I'm also a geek, that's why I can build a forum.
