tips on aligning the front and rear clips?

Does anyone have any easy or simple ways to line up the front and rear clips? Mine are close but need to be fine tuned and I hate risking the factor setting without having a good game plan to make it better (rather than worse without a game plan).

I used a pair of good jacks, an assistant and a 1x4 piece of wood that was about 4 feet long.

The first thing was to get the front or rear cover to latch and roughly in position. Thereafter the jacks and the board were used to support the end of the panel, the panel fixing points can thereafter be loosened and adjusted as needed.
