Is it possible to go for the Porsche Boxter gearbox tiptronic setup ?, would it fit ?, would you be seen driving it, could it handle the power ?
Any thoughts ?

Crafty,
the Boxster is already mid engined and does not need to be turned upside down...so it should work for under 400hp applications..
Guess what we will be test fitting in the SL-C VERY soon...;-)

Ahah... indeed, it does face the right way.

I understand that the manual trans in a Boxter is the same as an Audi - is this also the case for the auto?

The Redback has a Magnacharged LS engine in it with manual box. Great looking chassis.... not a fan of the body at all.... or the price tag.

how about using the Auto from the 911??? you can get some very cool softwaer for autos these days including paddle shift operation. the only problem with them at the momment on the aftermarket onse i have seen is they still use 'point' to shift down, its not manually opperated. i know some manufactures allow this so it is posiable to do. just need someone to come out with a patch that will give you 100% control at the paddles.

thanks Chris.

Just drive it without the hood in this weather Brian - with no air-con you'll have a hot tub in no time hehe
