Just started my build

I have only recently started my build and I expect it to take up to 2 years as it is being built at our holiday home on the South coast. Anyway, I have put together a fairly lame website, but at least it is somewhere I can store some pictures that I will take along the way.

You won't learn much about "how to build an Ultima" from me I am afraid, but there may be something of interest in there...

Hi Kelvin!

Looking good! Started my build over the Xmas break as well so looks like we're gonna be at similar stage of build for some time to come.....unfortunately wife had the dreaded flu ove Chrimbo so didn't get as far as planned but ready for the chassis flip when I get back from business trip in couple of weeks....haven't had time to set-up website yet but I've added few progress photo's below.....got a couple extra pressie's as well in the shape of the wheels and gearbox!! Gonna weigh the wheels when I get back in and post the results for anyone who's interested......

Thanks - the mat is designed for both heat and acoustic control....not sure about the value of it for the noise but think it will help deaden the sound through the ali panels....I've left a couple of areas free on the side panelling at the momement as there are a couple of things I may want to mount in these areas...brake bias control etc......it's really easy to apply just remember to warm through first (fan heater does the job...) otherwise tends to be very stiff when applying and use roller to remove air pockets......used straight edge and scapel to cut.......link to supplier as follows:
