....and it was only just shy of 7000RPM in fifth.

Now the question is:

What box is spec'd on the Project Gotham Racing 4 GTR?? (it does 48mph in 1st at 7000).

In fact what HP is the car supposed to be, and how come I can floor it mid corner without it spinning???

I though these games have gotten more realistic these days? I used to get more feedback from Pong!!!

Virtually sweet! That's an easy one, P. It's a modified ratio G50/52 with 2,000 HP and RaceLogic traction control.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to select your own spec, right down to the spring rates, wheels, tyres, gear ratios, steering arm material (err-hemsmile) and bendiness of wishbones. Would save a lot of farquarting about!!

PGR realistic? No chance.

Given you've got a 360, grab Forza 2 (and pray that a GTR comes in a future car pack)

FWIW, you can download the demo on XBL marketplace if you want to see if it's your sort of thing (no modding in the demo, but you'll get a sense of the increased feedback).

The PGR series is completely unrealistic. For a much better 'virtual' driving experience have a go at Forza Motorsport 2. Unfortunately, there is no Ultima. Time to lobby the software developer.
